Mr. Mateso a 35 years old man from Mpwapwa Dodoma, was among 15 beneficiaries of the SQF cleft surgery camp held at SDA Pasiansi Hospital in Mwanza, Northwest Tanzania.

Mateso has once heard of cleft surgeries but he hesitated to undergo corrective surgery fearing the unknown however, years passed and he wanted to get married but all girls he approached, turned him down because of his appearance. That was the point where he made his mind to undergo surgery. He had to travelled over 800km from his home village to Mwanza to attend the cleft surgery camp after hearing radio adverts.

After surgery, Mateso declared himself lucky and that he will soon get married
